P&O's ETTRICK of 1938, built to carry troops around the Empire.

She accommodated 104 First Class, 90 Second Class, and 1,150 troops. Seen here at Hong Kong, 8 October 1939, freshly repainted in grey wartime livery from her earlier white and blue.

ETTRICK would be torpedoed and sunk in November 1942.
