Built as FAMAKA 1922

Builder: Alexander Stephen & Son, Linthouse, UK, Completed December 1922

Owners: Khedival Mail SS & Graving Dock Co.

Length BP 390’.8” .   Beam. 55’2”   Gross Tonnage. 5,815    Speed  13.5 Kts

From 1927 under charter by Australasian United SN Co Ltd and renamed Ormiston serving the trunk line service of the East Coats ports of Australia

Whilst still in Australian service ownership changed 1933 to Eastern Traders Ltd., Hong Kong and later in 1933 changed again to St Mary Axe Securities Ltd., London

Purchased outright by AUSN Co in 1936 with title finally being transferred in 1939.

Requisitioned for the war effort and torpedoed off Coffs Harbour 1943. Survived, repaired and completed War duty.

Handed back to owners 1946.

1955 sold to Typaldos Bros., Greece and renamed Atlantic. 1956 renamed Atlanticos.

Arrived at Spezia 30th November 1957 for demolition purposes.
