Reach Subsea cleared to operate in Australian waters

Norway’s Reach Subsea has received all necessary regulatory and classification certifications in Australia for its uncrewed surface vessel (USV) and Remote Operations Centre, enabling full operational deployment in the country’s waters.
The Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) has issued a Certificate of Operation to Reach Subsea confirming that its approved procedures and methods of operation meet all regulatory requirements. In addition, a Full Certificate of Survey has been granted, covering both the Reach Remote 2 vessel and the Remote Operations Centre, thereby completing the full AMSA certification suite.
With all certifications in place, Reach Remote 2 is now undertaking subsea ROV operations for Woodside Energy in the Scarborough field.
The gas field is located in the Carnarvon Basin, approximately 375 kilometers off the coast of Western Australia.
