Powered by a Sulzer 6-cyl. 2 S. A. oil engine built by Commonwealth Govt. Eng. Works, which developed 7,500 bhp @ 119 rpm, service speed 14 knots.

Tank configuration 11C, 22W, 2 pump rooms, 4 pumps max. discharge rate 1,660 t.w./hr.

Butterworth Tank Cleaning, permanent Gas Freeing Installation and a cryptic note that a "Portion fitted to carry Ammonia". Tanker Registers 1971 & 1979.

Adelaide Steamship Co. appointed as managers.

The BP Endeavour finished her sea trails on the 23rd August 1967 and was delivered shortly after. At this time she was the largest vessel built on the east coast of Australia. Her sister ship BP Enterprise was delivered one year later, almost to the day. These two tankers were BPs attempt to build and man ships to distribute oil products within Australia, which unfortunately only lasted until the mid 1980's.

In 1987 she was sold to Ark Shipping Co (Dilmun Marine Services as managers) of Gibraltar & renamed NEWARK.

She was scrapped at Alang Beach (Pipavav) in December 1993.
