Iron Knight was a BHP vessel en route to Newcastle when she was torpedoed on 8 February 1943.

ABC Radio RN programme 'Earshot' recently told the story of Iron Knight and other merchant ship casualties. Captain Iain Steverson, Branch Master, Newcastle was a major contributor.
